Plasma Cutting

Plasma Cutting

Plasma cutting, or plasma arc cutting, is a fabrication
process that uses superheated, ionized gas to cut metal
into custom shapes and designs. The plasma torch utilizes
a copper nozzle to constrict and focus the stream of
plasma. The nozzle contains an electrode that creates an
arc between the electrode and the material to be cut. The
compressed gas stream, combined with the electrical
charge running through it, creates an intense, highly
accurate stream capable of quickly and easily creating
precision cuts in most metals.
